In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, many employers have found themselves navigating the challenges of managing a remote workforce. Prior to COVID-19, many employers did not have policies designed to address a workplace where the majority of workers were off-site. This digital transformation presents an opportunity for leaders across the organization to review their approach with a different lens that addresses a hybrid workforce. This also presents an opportunity to improve on what may have been outdated policies and a chance to make improvements and explore other dynamics that may not have been on their radar when the original roadmap was drafted.

In this 45-minute panel discussion, seasoned leaders will look at a wide range of considerations that cover everything from health and wellness, diversity and inclusion to security and technology.

12:00 pm ET - Virtual Engagement: Bridging The Gap Between Business Practices and Behavioural Science (by Paul Royce, Founder of PGR Consulting Inc.)

Employee engagement is a multi-billion dollar problem for many organizations in North America, with incurred costs from turnover of top talent, reduced productivity and absenteeism. The question that begs to be answered is: “Can this systemic issue be effectively dealt with in light of the quickening pace of the move to virtual?” A timely question, particularly since many organizations have been plunged into these unknown waters much sooner than anticipated as a result of COVID-19.

How can organizations increase engagement in this new virtual realm? Does this new normal actually lend itself to improved engagement?

This highly immersive and participatory session will begin by looking at the science behind engagement and a brief history of motivation. We will then identify key elements necessary to address this systemic challenge including; who is ultimately responsible for employee engagement across the organization, who really stands to benefit and how can it best be embraced at all levels (from the C-suite to the individual team member). Participants at all levels of the organization will gain new insights and receive practical tools that can be implemented immediately.

Life is too short to dread Mondays!
